Paying heed to Union Minister, Dr Anbumani Ramadoss’ request that he should in films, Vijay has said he would not act in such scenes in future.
"It’s a good thing that the Union Minister is trying to implement a ban on smoking. Hereafter, I will not smoke in films," said Vijay when asked about his response to Anbumani’s request.
Speaking at a seminar on recently, Anbumani, who came down heavily on films, said, "We would like to see Vijay scaling greater heights. But I don't know what is he thinking. A small advice to him. Please stop smoking in films."
It is said a particular scene in Vijay's latest film 'Azhagiya Tamil Magan' irked the Union Minister. In that scene, Vijay, who comes to board a train stops near a 'No Smoking' board and lights a cigarette. After paying a fine for his act, he makes sure that he leaves the place only after smoking the full cigarette.
