Govt should not target any community, says Maulana Arshad MadaniGovt should not target any community, says Maulana Arshad Madani

Jaipur, May 18 (UNI) The Rajasthan government should ensure logistic investigations into the blasts without targeting a particular community, said Maulana Sayyad Arshad Madani, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind Chief, who visited this city to meet victims of Tuesday's serial blasts today. Madani went to the SMS Hospital to see blasts' victims, who are being treated there. He also visited the houses of a few deceased.

The Jamiat leader also participated in a meeting of Ulemas, Muslim clerics and Jamiat's state office bearers at the Jalupura Mosque and urged them to continue their efforts to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood in the Pink City.

Talking to reporters, Madani said the State government should ensure logistic investigations in the serial blasts without targeting a particular community, as terrorism could not be linked to any religion or community and we should be sensitive to each other's sentiments. Praising the unity and harmony exhibited by Jaipurians at the time of crisis, Mr Madani said Islam had never preached lessons of sedition and terrorism.

Meanwhile, all prominent Madarsas and Islamic bodies had issued edicts against terrorism and indulgence in communal violence.

A meeting was also held at the Waqf Board office in the city which adopted a resolution to condemn the blasts which left at least 64 people dead.

The Waqf Board also contributed Rs 1.51 lakh for the relief of the blast victims.

Besides this, several Muslim bodies, clerics and Rajasthan Board of Muslim Waqf organised a good will march in the city today to deplore the serial blasts and express solidarity with victim families.
